Founded in 2006, Pack 194 of Surprise offers youth and their families opportunities and experiences that will provide special memories for a lifetime. We have a program for up to 60 youth in grades K-5, with each group split into Dens to work together on various ranks of Cub Scouting. Pack 194 is a member of the Dysart/Peoria/Wickenburg District of the Grand Canyon Council.
Cub Scout Ranks:
Lion (Kindergarten)
Tiger (1st Grade)
Wolf (2nd Grade)
Bear (3rd Grade)
Webelos (4th Grade)
Arrow of Light (5th Grade)
Our Pack is run by a committee of parent volunteers. The committee meets once per month to plan upcoming events and activities, discuss new opportunities, awards, and much more! All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings to bring new ideas and feedback.
Imagine Schools at Rosefield Surprise provides us with classrooms for each Den to meet on Wednesdays, generally 3-4 times per month. Our meeting schedule runs parallel to that of the school - meeting regularly August through May.
Meetings are planned and run by the Den Leader. The Den allows youth to get to know each other better and engage in Scout activities within their grade level. Den activities include: games, crafts, skits, songs, service projects, hikes, and other outdoor fun.
Our Dens together make up our Pack. Typically the 3rd Friday of every month, all of our Dens meet together for a Pack meeting. This is a fun, family event that gives Scouts an opportunity to be recognized for the badges they've earned, while enjoying our time together as a family.
